When we woke up here, our injuries were all healed up. And if you die in this realm.. you come back again.
[ so she thought, maybe this realm had some kind of life properties. well, "life." this really was a test. ]
I tried already.
[ with this shitty towel. it did not work very well okay. ITS JUST STORIES HER FUNKY BLOOD IS FINE but she's been staying put to not lose any more so he can see her predicament here with no proper bandages on hand.
the words... well, they glow a bit brighter when he reaches out and seem to circle his hand with a child-like curiosity. the words beginning to change.
[ she is bleeding her stories and you want to talk about this child? chandra has priorities I guess... ]
It's a new story. Probably from my time here. I have a few of them that are unnamed like this one. [ she holds up the shitty towel and then tosses it away. no use now. ]
Stories can be born from anything. From events, things... [ she looks at his gaze then back down.] Even connections.
Depending on the rating, some of them can be quite aggressive and throw a lot of tantrums when they're born before they fully stabilize.
[ more like a wild animal than an actual child. but this baby is behaving well. ]
[yeah he figures she'll be fine and if not IT'S HER OWN FAULT FOR INJURING HERSELF!!! what is he supposed to do, he ain't an expert.]
... Stories really are what your world revolves around, huh. [a beat] If you can't get this to stop, perhaps consider consulting Satan or the demons, although they might not have any ideas if it's exclusively a "you" problem.
... Should I be concerned over this story about me, apparently?
[but sure, he'll manifest his cloak and pull out black strips of cloth that were once akira's shirt. don't ask why he has the remains of akira's shirt, it's a long story—but it's clear they're meant to be makeshift bandages.]
Akira Fudo insisted on foisting it off to me. I did need to change my bandages on occasion—and there wasn't much else to use during my fight with Scaramouche.
[the amount of times they had to put their attempts to kill each other on hold because chandra's wounds reopened...]
They were on my person when I died. I have no further need for them now, though.
Uriel slowly sits back down, a brief furrow with the fight mention but it's gone not a moment later.
she nods after, raising her arm as her ink-like blood drips ]
Akira Fudo is quite the caring individual. [ not just towards Scaramouche, but Chandra too. that isn't surprising. he is burying his way into even the skrunkly hearts. ]
[ BECAUSE THE ANGLE IS DIFFICULT TO??? SHE DOESN'T HAVE FOUR ARMS LIKE ORV!SURYA. still looking at him expectantly, though his words get a bit of a distant look. ]
It is different for Constellations. If they are not easily killed by another stronger than them, they can erase from existence when their stories are forgotten.
[he hums, also still not making a move to help her.]
In my universe, the nastikas were created first, to be the most powerful race but only able to live and die once. Next, the gods as their opposite, built to be just lesser than their equal in strength, but able to return from death to fight them. Then came humans.
... With the way your world works, it sounds almost as though humans have the most power, whether or not they know it, as the race most attached to holding onto "stories".
[ this is exactly why she bites you later, and not at all for other reasons. she'll attempt to one hand wrap around her arm then. i rolled a 5 so it falls to the ground. ...damb ]
And what does the God of Darkness do? [ she knows some but, really it's a certain story that seems to latch onto Chandra's words. seeming to respond to his story. ]
...In a way, they do. Majority of Constellations only care to see humans beneath them. Though without their spread of tales, share of stories, we may as well have never been born. It's because of a certain reader some of us were able to see an end without Scenarios.
[URIEL YOUR BANDAGE he will reach down to pick it up for her at least.]
Exist as the Darkness of the world, of course.
[...]
Well, it's not hard to see why. Humans generally tend to be inferior lifeforms. [unfortunately chandra is an arrogant shit who looks down on humans.] But those who think might alone is everything are also foolish.
[ you know, at least he'll do that much. she's appreciative. it's okay this time i rolled high and she manages to wrap her arm quite well. ]
That's all?
[ there's a difference between looking down on them and just generally playing their lives for complete sport.
... ] It's the one thing every Constellation looks forward to. You can still live your life without knowing but. For some, they likely spend the rest of their lives looking for that end. Doing anything to find it. Enough to twist themselves, become Outer Gods. Which never ends well.
Sure, "that's all" if you only look at it simply. [though he doesn't seem to be particularly pressed to elaborate.] There's also all the work that befalls the gods in general.
[...]
What comes after the end, then? Cessation of existence?
And if you don't look at it simply? [ she wants his story. greedy ] The general work in protecting the realms and all?
[ a tilt of her head. ]
..No. Peace. Though you find your 'end', it is more akin to... the end of a story? Your own personal ending. For some it might be sacrifice, for others it could be salvation, neverending story... it depends on the person.
Well, the general duties of just about any god involve... extending the lifespan of the universe and disposing of what might threaten it, helping Yama to process souls in the underworld, fighting the suras, giving humans oracles, answering their summons, forming the basis of humanity's magic system, etc.
[he's quiet, looking like he's thinking over this for a bit.]
And the Scenarios are necessary for this, rather than simply existing?
[ that is. so much? okay, you know, him wanting some peace and quiet makes a lot more sense now actually i'm in tears. ]
I hardly remember a time where Scenarios weren't running. Once the Star Stream takes over a universe, Scenarios begin for all lifeforms. But regarding one's end... Given that Scenarios act as obstacles that must be overcome in order to progress towards the overall end of the scenarios... yes, it does seem to be necessary.

Stories are a very important factor of it, yes. We can draw strength and power based on the stories we have.
[ Even if some can sound as pointless 'pebble and me.' by the way if you think the baby story has stopped ooo-ing and aah-ing at Chandra. it hasn't. ]
I'll manage with it. It isn't too serious.
[ she really would like to not... consult them... ]

[ umm ] Familiarizing itself with you.
[ The words seem to vibrate. And again, the words change.
[ The story 'Touched by Darkness' has begun. ]
[ The story 'Touched by Darkness' is humming happily. ]
Uriel suddenly has a :pikagasp: face and then suddenly stands up. ]
I'm looking for bandages!
[ embarrassing... ]

[
????????]
What?
no subject
Nothing! Help me look for bandages? Or, anything that will work--
[ This new story will not be silenced. Only because it is fresh baby and wants to share its story.
「 There once was a God of Darkness that-- 」
Uriel will suddenly just. yell. wings puffed up and cheeks rosey.]
Not now!!! [ AHHHHHH. the story does go quiet at least but it is a sad vibe from it. :( ]

Why would you be concerned? I told you stories can be born from connections...
[ It's just a little embarrassing. this is their story child.
she looks at the makeshift bandages and squints a little. more in the why do you have Akira's shirt kinda way ]
You just keep those around?

Like I said, I won't be using it anymore, now that I have my regeneration back.

You are very prickly with some people.
