Well, since I did not wake up with anyone else at my location, I was a bit wary when I left. I had no idea who it would be, and of course, I just assumed right away that they would try to kill me.

There were rumors about the beer being a cure for the snake's venom. So, we decided to work with that. Catch a snake along the way after getting some of the beer, and find a place to settle while he put the plan in motion.
Well, Zagreus may have had some different plans in mind, but I did personally hope that just maybe... it could have considered it a death if it came close enough for it-- and with the means there to revive him, it would have better results than the previous nights.

I suppose I can see the logic there. And anyway, with his whole... death history, there was always a chance it wouldn't stick even if things went poorly.
What happened after that? You got hit with one of those memories at some point, right?

Yes, it was much the same for the two of them, I recall. Though they started out in the same place together.
