but, eventually, the story comes to an end-- to the point she can picture what else happens from there. it was this exactly that she wanted to know. it has no happy ending, and that is a known fact since she woke up on Friday to the news of his death announcement.
a soft breath escapes her and she steps closer to the bars. her hand keeping him in place as she presses on her feet to reach up and kiss his forehead. no stab for you, only a kiss. she pulls back afterward, her eyes wet with unshed tears, but her look is gentle. ]
It's alright, Lavi. [ her voice is spoken just as softly. ]
He blinks back at her, stunned. Maybe it's because of the difference here -- of the Uriel during trial, wreathed in her anger -- and now, full of something that looks like absolution. What is it about everyone, giving him so many things he doesn't deserve?

[ If it was not him here... it would be Micah instead. It would be just as painful, and Uriel would have felt equally as helpless to not be able to do anything to change it. It would not change the outcome of this heartwrenching situation.
